Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan on Saturday rejected raise in petroleum products and stated the government was not paying heed to mitigate hardships of the masses. In a statement issued by the PTI central office, Imran called the new raise in the petroleum prices a cruel act and said that by doing so rulers were pursuing a strange agenda imported from abroad. “The raise in the petroleum prices would be followed by price hike in the country that would add to the hardships of the common man,” he feared. According to Imran Khan, the regime has completely failed to provide relief to the masses many people were becoming target of terrorism while the rest were facing multiple crises like inflation and price hike. He vividly declared that the four-year-long worst period of bad governance had shattered the economy while the gas and electricity crises had increased unemployment in the country. He stated that the crisis could not be overcome without changing the cruel and corrupt system. Encouraging the nation for welcoming the change, the PTI chairman said, “We will conduct accountability of the corrupt rulers and bring in prosperity through rule of law on coming to power.”
