PML-N President Mian Nawaz Sharif has said on Friday that the government which came to power with the slogan of ‘Roti, Kapra aur Makan’ (Food, clothing and shelter) was bringing a bad name to democracy.
He shared this view while talking with the president of overseas Pakistanis in Saudi Arabia Mirza Altaf and other party workers at his Raiwind residence.
Nawaz Sharif said the rulers would have to be sent packing if the country was to be saved from further destruction. He said democracy was being defamed because of corrupt practices and failed policies of the present government.
The PML-N chief said that by doing politics in the name of new provinces, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) was dreaming about winning the next elections, adding that their dreams would never come true.
He said the PML-N was involved in principled politics instead of power politics and vowed to rid the country of crises when his party comes into power.
He lauded the services of overseas Pakistanis and said they were an asset for Pakistan and important ambassadors for their country.
