Usman Anwar, Director General Sports Board and Youth Affairs Punjab, has said that the SBP fully respects the Supreme Court and will honor the decision of the court regarding the implementation of the National Sports Policy.
Talking to journalists on Friday, he said that SBP received the letter from Pakistan Sports Board that after directions of the Supreme Court, no official of the federation or any other sports association can hold the office after completion of two consecutive terms.
He further said that the SBP will fully cooperate in the holding of the National Games but the current management of the Punjab Olympics Association is not legally eligible to conduct the mega event in the wake of the courts verdict.
“When Punjab Olympics will hold its fresh elections and Pakistan Sports Board will declare them legal, we will support them in every possible way for holding National Games in Lahore,” he maintained.
