QMC organises function in bed-ridden widow’s honour

LAHORE – The Queen Mary College’s (QMC) faculty members and students on Friday organised a ceremony in honour of former QMC employee Nasreen Bibi who worked at the college for 32 years and is bed-ridden nowadays due to severe stomach infection. QMC Principal Dr Irfana announced Rs 30,000 for Nasreen and promised to support her in the future as well.
QMC Mass Communication Department Head Saima Kauser said that Dr Irfana became principal one month ago and is very humble and kind towards the faculty, students and other employees. She said that the principal is working day and night to upgrade status of the college and its employees.
Dr Irfana said that case of the former employee was not under her jurisdiction and as soon as she came to know about Nasreen’s suffering, she visited her house and assured full support. The QMC principal said that she would do her best for welfare of the college and its employees and has taken various steps in this regard.
