Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid-e-Azam (PML-Q) MPA Samina Khawar Hayat narrowly escaped injury when bandits opened fire on her vehicle after robbing a citizen on MM Alam Road, Gulberg, on Thursday. Police said two robbers were fleeing after robbing a passer-by when guards of Samina Khawar Hayat intercepted them and caught one of robber. In reaction, his accomplice opened fire at Samina’s vehicle. Samina Khawar emerged from the incident unscathed; however two passers-by suffered bullet injuries. The injured were rushed to hospital. The alleged robber has been arrested and investigation is underway.
