Afghans protest against alleged Pakistan cross-border shelling

Hundreds of Afghan civilians demonstrated against the alleged cross-border incursion from Pakistan into eastern regions of the country in capital Kabul on Thursday.
The protesters started demonstrations early Thursday morning in capital Kabul and starting shouting anti-Pakistan slogans and urged international community to persuade Pakistan in order to respect the sovereignty of Afghanistan and prevent cross-border incursions from Pakistan.
According to reports dozens of heavy shells are fired into eastern provinces of Afghanistan specifically in eastern Kunar and Nuristan provinces from Pakistan on a daily basis.
The cross-border shelling from Pakistan has also turned into a political controversy in Afghanistan recently.
Afghan lawmakers summoned defense and interior ministers over the shelling and dismissed them from their positions for being failed to prevent the cross border incursions.
According to reports the demonstrators are going to gather near the Pakistan embassy in capital Kabul and announce their statement.
On the other hand Afghan lawmakers on Wednesday warned of a nationwide uprising if the cross border shelling was not prevented.
