The Quaid-e-Azam University (QAU), in collaboration with Pakistan Botanical Society (PBS), will host the 3rd International Conference on Botany from September 1 at the QAU and all necessary arrangements have been completed. Almost 200 scientists and faculty members of universities across the country and abroad (Oman, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and France) will participate in the conference. These scientists in their lectures, poster presentations and panel discussions will elaborate recent trends in their relative fields of expertise, including physiology, ecology, eco-physiology, microbial interactions, plant taxonomy, economic botany, molecular biology, plants and environment, agriculture agronomy, horticulture, plant breeding and genetics. Almost 300 students from different universities of the country have so far been registered for the conference. The conference will help Pakistani students and scientists to get an opportunity of sharing views and expertise with internationally renowned scientists. In addition, this conference will highlight the recent trends in various branches of botanical sciences.
