LINDSAY Lohan has been cleared of any involvement in an alleged £65,000 jewellery theft from a Hollywood Hills home. Cops said last night they had “insufficient evidence” to pursue a case following claims the items were pinched at a recent all-night party the actress attended. The troubled star, 26, was said to have been accused of stealing jewels, sunglasses and watches. And it was reported Lohan had pointed the finger of blame at pal Andrew Knight, son of music mogul Suge. The Mean Girls star was quizzed by cops — but Los Angeles County Deputy District Attorney Deborah L Kranze said yesterday: “We do not have sufficient evidence to prove this case beyond a reasonable doubt.” Lohan was said to be relieved at the news. Her spokesman said in a statement: “Lindsay is glad this matter has been cleared up so she can focus on her upcoming projects.” The actress was released from formal probation in March over charges in 2007 of drunk driving and cocaine possession.
