Due to negligence of the Capital Development Authority, the plan for extension of Polyclinic has not been materialised.
The new complex of Polyclinic, which has been constructed bearing a huge cost, remains confined to the documents even after two years of its construction, such that the officials have not prepared PC-1 for the project.
Sources said former Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani had announced to make Polyclinic a complex comprising 1,100 beds by including in it the additional land of Argentine Park which spreads over an area of 2.54 acres.
Sources further claimed the permission regarding affiliation of the Argentine Park was also sought from the government of Argentine, however, due to negligence of the CDA and the Capital Administration and Development Division the rights of ownership were not transferred to the Polyclinic.
