A two-member bench of the Supreme Court on Tuesday reserved its judgment on the review petition filed by Arsalan Iftikhar, son of Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Choudhry.
Arsalan Iftikhar had filed a review petition challenging the Supreme Court’s order of June 14 regarding corruption allegations hurled by the property tycoon Malik Raiz.
Counsel of Arsalan Iftikhar, Advocate Ishaq Khan, told the court that his client has no faith in the inquiry being carried out by the National Accountability Bureau.
While reserving the judgment on the petition, Justice Jawwad Khawaja said that the court will announce judgment in a day or two following consultations.
Later, talking to media persons, Arsalan Iftikhar stressed the need for impartial probe into the whole issue.
