The Karachi police in their on-going drive against criminals arrested 79 accused during the past three days.
A police statement on Monday said that those arrested included 11 absconders and a proclaimed offender.
It said that there were nine encounters with the police during the period and six gangs of alleged criminals were busted. A police personnel of Kalri police station was killed and one of PIB police station was injured. In all, 45 pistols, one rifle, one repeater, one carbine, one revolver, five daggers, four hand grenades, 11 mobile phones and cash recovered from the possession of the accused, the police statement further pointed out.
