Federal Minister for Political Affairs Moula Bux Chandio on Monday said the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) did not believe in politics of confrontation, rather in reconciliation. Talking to APP, he said the PPP was a democratic party and it had sacrificed a number of precious lives for the restoration of democracy, even for the judiciary, throughout its history. Chandio reiterated that the government respected all institutions and urged them to work within their constitutional parameters.
“The PPP coalition government expects the same response,” he remarked. He said the PPP government had always given due respect to other state institutions, including the judiciary, as its two prime ministers appeared before the apex court without any reservation. “We want good relations with judiciary as confrontation is not the policy of the PPP-led government,” he added.
