At least three policemen were killed after unidentified militants ambushed a police van at Gotaki Hangu on Thursday morning. Police sources said that the three cops were on a routine patrol in their van. In the Gotaki area, a group of unidentified militants ambushed the vehicle and opened indiscriminate fire on the policemen. All three on board were killed on the spot. The dead were identified as Head Constable Mazhar Shah, Constables Tahir and driver Jehanzeb, who belonged to Nowshehra, while the former two belonged to different areas of Hangu district.
