Quetta blast death toll climbs to two, 13 injured

The death toll in the Tuesday’s car bomb in Quetta climbed to two on Wednesday, while 13 other pedestrians, including women and children, have been left injured following the incident. Police said a nine-year-old boy who was injured in the bomb blast also succumbed to injures at a hospital on Wednesday. Unidentified men had fitting Improvised Explosives Devise (IED) to a car parked near Akbar Mosque in Musa Colony on the Sariab Road on Tuesday.
“The car was remotely detonated when a patrolling vehicle of a law enforcement agency passed by,” police said. “One person was killed on spot and 14 pedestrians, including three women and four children, were seriously injured,” police said, adding that rescue teams rushed to the site and shifted the wounded to hospital. The deceased was identified as Sahib Khan.
