Dipalpur brutal incident: 3 culprits arrested

Five members of an influential landlord family plucked out eyes and slit nose, ears and tongue of a person, after thrashing him brutally over suspicious of having illicit relations with a girl of their family on Tuesday. The police arrested three accused in the ghastly act.
According to details, Yousaf, a barber by profession, hailing from Dipalpur was reportedly in love with Mukhtar Bibi, belonging to a local landlord family.
On Tuesday, the barber was at home when a woman of the village Nasim Bibi called him to a nearby field, where the local landlord was in hiding along with five accomplices. The landlord Mian Khan suspected that the Yousaf had illicit relations with his daughter Mukhtar Bibi. They overpowered him and gouged out his eyes, slit his nose, ears and tongue and dumped the victim in fields.
The locals after knowing about the incident informed the police who shifted him to Jinnah Hospital. He was later shifted to Mayo Hospital where according to hospital sources, his condition was critical.
Upon directives of Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif, the city police have formed teams that are taking prompt action to arrest the three culprits identified as Javed, Muhammad Hussain and Ali Sher while raids to arrest two others were underway.
Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif has given Rs500,000 relief cheque for the torture victim.
A case has been registered which is likely to be heard in an anti-terrorism court.
