Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Khurshid Shah said that the local body elections would be held after the general elections, a local television channel said.
According to the channel, Khurshid said that the country could not afford local body elections before the general elections.
He further said that Pakistan Peoples’ Party would contest polls with their partners in coalition, adding that the rumors about elections being delayed were false.
And how are they going to afford local elections after the general elections one may wonder?
its better if these are held after this elections so they dont influence the outcome and the cronies elected will return the favour in general elections.
For all their term in government, they failed the basic democratic need of people to hold local body elections. they have failed Pakistani people on each and every front!
