‘Whatever you do, protect Metro Bus project’

Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Sunday issued instructions for making safety arrangements on the routes of metro bus project and directed the concerned authorities to take all out protective measures within available resources to ensure safety of the citizens.
Presiding over a high level meeting to review safety arrangements on the routes of Metro Bus Project, he said that safety of the metro bus routes should be ensured and said that an awareness campaign should be launched regarding the safety and the utility of the Metro Bus Project. He also announced financial assistance for the family of Farzana, a woman had fallen in a ditch and died. Moreover, he ordered the police and the staff of concerned departments to enforce strict security measures at all bus routes. He asked the police to play a recorded message on the routes of Metro Bus Project so that people could be apprised of the nature of work and the timeframe. In the meeting, he said that special arrangements should be made for traffic management during Eid holidays so that citizens do not face difficulties in getting to their destination. The chief minister added that Metro Bus Service is a splendid project and will revolutionize transport system and result in provision of safe, comfortable and speedy travelling facilities to the masses.
