Politicians do not understand the meaning of Jinnah’s Pakistan: JI

Jamaat e Islami chief Syed Munawar Hasan on Wednesday said that politicians today do not understand what Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah wanted from Pakistan as an Islamic state.
Addressing the concluding ceremony of the 33rd Tafseer e Quran course at Mansoora mosque, Hasan said that so far the country had been run by people educated at westernized elite schools who neither accepted Islam as a system of life nor allowed it to prosper in the country. He added that these rulers had always looked up to the US for policy making. These people want to lead kingly lives over a poor nation and do not mind begging from the aliens for that, he added.
The JI chief said that after the defeat of socialism and communism, secularism and western civilization had taken the world in their grip. Furthermore, he said that western culture has crept into our homes and today people’s ceremonies of joy and grief are under the influence of the west. He added that the ignorance of the elite class of Quranic teachings is the root cause of all of Pakistan’s problems.
He impressed upon the students attending the course to devote their lives for spreading the Quranic teachings in their localities.

    looks like you are quite uneducated. you say that Pakistan has been ruled by elite who have western education. for your kind information, Jinnah also studied in Europe.
    and again for your kind information, Jinnah didnt make Pakistan an Islamic state. he made it a place where everyone can live peacefully. This state was made to protect Muslims of sub-continent, not to establish an Islamic empire.
    Jinnah didnt even name Pakistan as an "Islamic Republic". it were some totally misguided people who did that.
