Jamaat e Islami chief Syed Munawar Hasan on Monday called upon the special OIC summit to devise a common strategy for the liberation of the Muslim occupied areas, for Muslim unity and also adopt effective measures to address the grievances of the oppressed Muslims. In a letter addressed to the custodian of the Haramain Sharifain and host of the OIC summit, King Abdullah, the JI chief stressed the need for a common line of action for the liberation of Palestine and Kashmir from the hold of the Hindus and the Zionists for the last 60 years. Hasan also urged the Muslim rulers to take notice of the genocide of the Myanmar Muslims, raise an effective voice against their eviction from their homes, extend them immediate help and take up the matter with the UN. He stressed upon the OIC summit to take notice of the Bangladesh government’s refusal to provide shelter to the Myanmar Muslims.
