The people across the country leaving for their hometowns are again facing troubles as transporters have increased fares before Eidul Fitr.
Bus terminals visited by INP correspondent showed that rush of returning people was seen but many of the passengers complained that the transporters had increased the fare on the pretext of collecting Eidi.
The passengers said the transporters were exploiting them and many transport companies were charging higher by saying that they had completed booking up to Eid and had no seats. However, their agents bargain with the passengers and provide them seat at higher cost. ‘Everyone will go to celebrate Eid with their families, so keeping this in eye, the transporters are exploiting poor people’, said one of the passengers.
On the other hand, the transporters said that like others, they also have right to earn in the Eid season.
