Govt making all out efforts to resolve electricity crisis: Ahmed Mukhtar

Minister for Water and Power Chaudhry Ahmed Mukhtar has said the government is making all out efforts to resolve electricity crisis.
Briefing media after a meeting of special Committee of Council of Common Interests in Lahore on Saturday‚ he said the government is focusing on power generation through coal‚ as all major countries are using coal to produce electricity.
The meeting was held to chalk out a mechanism to ensure equitable distribution of available electricity among the provinces.
The minister said the government will check electricity theft with the help of the media.
The meeting also discussed measures for recovery of electricity dues and payment of circular debt to power producing companies.
The four provincial chief secretaries and Wapda officials attended the meeting.

    Just bitching
    What about IPPs? They are about to go in international courts as government has defaulted and still not paying.
    Who will then come to invest in Pakistan?
