Robbers stole 60 tola jewellery and Rs 600,000 from the house of a businessman in Shadbagh on Thursday, City42 reported.
According to the report, two robbers pretending to be LESCO officials entered the house of Afzal Butt, a businessman and a resident of Nabipura, Shadbagh. They robbed him of 60 tolas of jewellery, Rs 600,000 and escaped from the scene. After the incident, the police filed an FIR against unidentified robbers.
Gang busted:
The Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) of Allama Iqbal Town Police busted a gang of robbers and arrested its three members. Police recovered Rs 2 million in cash, four cell phones as well as illegal weapons from their possession.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Umar Virk formed a team under the supervision of CIA DSP Iqbal Town and succeeded in busting Waqas alias Viki gang.
The dacoits were identified as Waqas alias Viki Butt, Fiaz Masih and Muhammad Naveed.
