In a meeting with BOI Chairman Saleem H. Mandviwalla both sides discuss the competitiveness and opportunities regarding the Pakistani industries. The group also discussed with Mr. Mandviwalla the constraints that the Pakistani industries are facing against the backdrop of the current scenario.
The Chairman BOI told the team that BOI is more than willing to help but there are some capacity constraints which could be overcome soon through mutual cooperation.
He was of the view that there should be maximum investment promotion and for that purpose Pakistan should participate in the investment conferences in Canada and South Africa which are held every year which are considered to be the largest conferences to be held in the world.
Later in the day the Chairman also met Suleman Ghani from USAID Pakistan, to discuss the technical assistance which should be provided to BOI by USAID through the FIRMS Project.
