The crime spree continued as robberies occurred in various parts of the city, City 42 reported.
According to the channel, Liaqat, a butcher by profession, was going to buy animals from the market when four robbers riding a motorbike stopped him forcibly and robbed Rs 3.2 million in broad day light and managed to escape.
In another report, a robbery took place in International Bakery at E Block Joher Town. Robbers entered the bakery as customers and robbed Rs 50,000 on gunpoint and escaped.
In another incident, Maqsood Ahmed, a resident of Sabzazar, was standing at the gate of his house when two robbers on motorbike robbed thousands of cash and mobile phone on gunpoint from him and managed to escape
Similarly, Umair, a resident of Garden Town, was returning home after shopping when two robbers riding a motorbike robbed him of Rs 20,000 and two mobile phones and managed to escape. In another report, cars a were stolen in different places of the city. LESCO meter inspector Liaqat’s car was stolen from WAPDA office at Faisal Town and Daniel Masih’s car was stolen from Kinnaird College.
Police gathered evidence and have filed an FIR against unknown persons.
