As the rainy season has been started, old buildings which were constructed one hundred years ago are in a dilapidated condition and pose a permanent threat to human lives in the city. The buildings are located in Raja Bazaar, Moti Bazaar, Fawara Chowk, Jamia Masjid Road, College Road, Amarpura and Cantonment areas. Gloomy incidents have taken place in the past. Earlier, over 300 buildings in Rawal Town, particularly near Nullah Leh, were declared dangerous and their residents were issued final vacation notices. According to the Rawal Town administration, the buildings were extremely dangerous and unsafe to be used for living purposes and the dwellers were issued notices to vacate their places at the earliest.
