Lahore High Court (LHC) Friday suspended the assembly membership of PML-N MPA Rana Asif over dual citizenship.
The court forbade the N-League’s MPA from attending the Punjab Assembly, remarking that Rana Asif possesses a Canadian passport, which is issued only to citizens.
Suspending Rana’s membership from Punjab Assembly, the court said the one who has dual nationality, cannot become members of the assembly.
The LHC, adjourning the hearing till October 12.
