Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Thursday termed Balochistan unrest as external aggression saying that Balochistan issue is a world conspiracy.
Malik said he would not play the “blame game” but would bring facts and would do so with full responsibility and transparency. “There are many things I will tell you on record and there are many that I will not be able to divulge in open house,” said Malik while briefing the chairman.
Responding to question over Balochistan issue on the floor of Senate, Malik said that there was a world roadmap for destabilizing Balochistan to undermine Pakistan adding that he wants to share this conspiracy against the country in an in-camera session. “Foreign elements want to benefit from our internal disputes”, Malik said adding that “these elements are hiring manpower to carryout terror attacks in Balochistan and BLA is being played by foreign hands.”
The minister said that terrorism is being imported in Balochistan from neighboring Afghanistan. He said banned BLA was involved in many terror activities in the province and they claimed responsibilities of each terror attack took place in Balochistan. Malik said BLA has owned 299 terror attacks in the province in which more than 170 FC personnel were martyred. He complained that human right violations happen in every province but NGOs make noise against what happened in Balochistan adding that FC is not responsible for any thing happened there.
Terming BLA ‘killing machine” Malik said this terror organization get support from neighboring Afghanistan, adding that the BLA and Laskhar-e-Jhangvi were involved in the terrorist activities in the province. He said he had proofs that Laskhar-e-Jhangvi coupled with BLA was contributing to the aggravating situation in the province. Malik lamented that Fateha prayers were asked for the terrorists but nobody raised hands for the martyrs of security forces.
The minister said that most of the PSP posts were lying vacant in Balochistan as no officer was ready to discharge duty there.
Malik said that the government had decided that no officer would be given promotion if he didn’t serve at least for three years in Balochistan. He said our government has taken many positive steps to resolve Balochistan issue.
Malik also said that the president had tendered apology over the excesses committed to the Baloch. He said after the passage of the 18th amendment, law and order had become a provincial subject. However, he said the federal government could not turn blind eye.
