Altaf calls for action against criminals

Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain, while talking to the MQM Rabita Committee in London and Pakistan, said on Monday that the government must rid the people of Karachi of the criminal elements involved in collecting extortion from business persons and incidents of kidnapping for ransom,
Altaf Hussain said that the educated people of the city, the business community, and the media were well aware of the fact that the elements supporting the criminals were involved in extortion and kidnappings for ransom.
He said that the criminals were not only abducting the business persons for demanding ransom but also attacking the houses of the traders if they refuse to pay extortion.
Altaf deplored the lack of action against the criminals despite repeated calls, warning he would uncover the patrons of these bhatta people if no action was taken against these criminals.
