Altaf demands action against extortionists

Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain on Monday urged the government to get rid of criminals and extortion mafia to relieve city dwellers and traders.
He demanded of the president, the prime minister and Interior Minister Rehman Malik to take measures to curb activities of bhatta mafia and kidnappings for ransom.
The MQM chief termed the ongoing violence an organized conspiracy.
He condemned the lack of action against the criminals despite repeated calls and warned that he would uncover the crime patrons if not action against criminal is taken by the government.
