Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah on Saturday said stern action would be taken against gang war, extortion, Parchi mafia and other elements involved in backing criminal activities in the city, adding that all possible measures will be utilised to maintain deteriorating law and order condition of Karachi. Shah said this when a delegation of Muttahida Qaumi Movement headed by MQM’s Rabbita Committee deputy convener Dr Farooq Sattar called on him at Chief Minister’s House and discussed worsening law and order situation in the city with the chief minister. Farooq Sattar said increasing crimes and the activities of the gangsters had created harassment and fear among the people especially traders in the metropolis. Protesting against increasing crimes ratio including hand grenade attacks on departmental stores in the city, Farooq Sattar demanded stern action to curb gang war, extortion , Parchi mafia criminals and to provide protection to the life and property of the people.
