The Supreme Court resumed hearing petition filed against the contempt law on Wednesday.
A five-member bench of Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry, Justice Khilji Arif Hussain, Justice Shakirullah Jan, Justice Jawad S Khawaj and Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jilani, according to television channels, was hearing the petitions against the new law. Abdul Rehman Advocae argued that a law against fundamental rights could not be legislated.
