Unknown gunmen on Tuesday injured Deputy Director Schools Abrar Ahmed here at Shawakshah Road on Tuesday.
According to police, three gunmen opened fire on Abrar’s vehicle when he reached his office at Education Directorate.
The deputy director was injured as a result of firing. However, he managed to injure one of the attackers by running over him with his car. The injured attacker later succumbed to his injuries.
Abrar was shifted to CMH while the body of the attacker was sent to Civil Hospital.
Police reached the site after getting information and recovered two pistols from the culprits while further investigation is underway.
