LAHORE – Relations between Zulqarnain Haider and the Pakistan Cricket Board seem to have hit a new low after his family blamed the PCB for preventing the wicket-keeper’s wife and children from joining him in the United Kingdom.
Zulqarnain’s wife, Shazia, and his two daughters were stopped from boarding a flight to London on Sunday by FIA officials at the Lahore airport. They were told to contact the British High Commission in Islamabad and the Pakistan Cricket Board.
“I don’t know why they stopped me from going to London as we had valid visas and passports and tickets for the journey,” Shazia told reporters after being forced to return home.
