Special arrangements will be made to regulate flow of traffic on Tariq Road keeping in view the rush during the month of Ramadan. This was decided in a meeting on Saturday chaired by the Karachi Metropolitan Commissioner Matanat Ali Khan. Matters pertaining to the traffic management in and around one of the city’s main business centres- Tariq Road, came under discussion. It was decided that to deal with the traffic pressures, the traffic police would undertake special arrangements. The city wardens would also be deployed to assist the traffic police, it was further stated. The meeting also decided that `Patharas points’ in front of the shopping centres at Tariq Road would also be removed to ensure smooth flow of traffic. Instructions were also issued to check any illegal charged parking in the area. It was pointed out that in collaboration with the Tariq Road Traders’ Association, every possible steps would be undertaken for the traffic management in the area.
