At least five more persons were killed and several others injured in continuing spate of target killings in different area of the city on Friday. As per details, unknown gunmen shot dead a police official Abdul Hafeez who was on intelligence duty at Nishtar Road.
In a robbery attempt at the Abul Isphahani Road, residents opened fire and shot dead a dacoit. In Korangi area, Shakir Ullah was shot dead for resisting during a robbery while a man was shot dead in Metrowill area.
Meanwhile, some unidentified persons attacked Toori Bangash Police Post in Raees Amrohi Colony area of Orangi Town with a hand grenade which caused injuries to a police official and damaged wall of the police post.
The police also recovered a bullet riddled and tortured dead body of a 28 year old man, found from Hussainabad, Federal B Area, in the limits of Azizabad police station. The dead body was shifted to a hospital where the deceased was identified as Nadeem. Police said that the he was kidnapped and then shot dead.
Another bullet riddled dead body of Gulfam, 30, was also found near Lee Market. He was resident of Azam Basti. Meanwhile firing incidents were reported in different areas of the city during which seven persons were injured.
