DASKA – The people of Pasrur have announced to set up a camp at Pasrur Kutchery in protest against the alleged illegal sale of more than 200 acres of land of the Pasrur Sugar Mills at throwaway price against its actual price.
Pasrur Market Committee Administrator Rana Muhammad Afzal advocate said the Pasrur Sugar Mills was the property of Punjab Industrial Development Board but the officials concerned of the provincial revenue department had allegedly sold out 200 acres of land of this sugar mill only for Rs.21.3 million illegally against its actual value and price of Rs 5 billion.
He demanded the authorities concerned to hand over the land to those from whom it was acquired under the Land Acquisition Act. He also urged Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif to take notice of the matter in the larger interest of the local people.
RELEASE OF 28 PRISONERS ORDERED: District and Sessions Judge Tariq Iftikhar Ahmad visited the district jail and ordered the release of 28 prisoners involved in minor cases. The sessions judge listened to the problems of male and female prisoners, besides, checking the jail kitchen and hospital.
He also distributed sewing machines and woolies among the female prisoners. Rescue 1122 imparts training to 5,015 citizens: The Rescue 1122 Sialkot officials have imparted necessary training of rescue to 5,015 citizens under the Safe Sialkot Programme, enabling the citizens to provide the emergency help and rescue services to needy people at any emergency.
Addressing an important meeting of District Emergency Board Sialkot, DCO Mujahid Sher Dil directed Daska TMO Tahir Nadeem Sandhu to ensure the early start of Rescue 1122 services in the city by establishing a Rescue 1122 centre here in the larger interest of the local people.
