The Pakistan Cricket Board on Monday swiftly welcomed the first proposed cricket series with India in five years, saying millions of fans would be delighted.
PCB chairman Zaka Ashraf told local television channels that Pakistan was still waiting for a formal invitation for the series, but said “it seems it will surely be held later this year”.
India’s cricket chiefs said they had invited Pakistan for a tour later this year, which would be the first in five years if approved by their governments.
The working committee of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) invited Pakistan for the series, likely to be three one-day internationals, in December-January.
“The decision is great and we welcome it. It seems that millions of cricket fans have their wishes fulfilled,” said Ashraf in Pakistan’s eastern city of Lahore.
“We are still waiting for a BCCI invitation for the series, but it seems it will surely be held later this year.”

  1. Pakistan team is not welcome in India. We dont want a team from a terrorist country. Pakistan should make its own platform to look good to the world.

    • You meant terrorism similar to what was carried out against the Samjhota express, which turned out to be the job of an Indian army Major? There are definitely issues with terrorism in Pakistan, no question about it, but there are serious issues with India's dealing of uprising in Kashmir and the scores of people that the Indian army has killed in that region. But because Pakistan is a Muslim country and the world has done plenty of investment in India in search of cheap labor, no one is ever going to bother looking into that and calling on India to stop the genocide in that region.
