National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) has been ranked by The Banker magazine published out of UK as the top Pakistani bank in its ‘Top 1,000 World Banks’ ranking for 2012.
This means that National Bank of Pakistan has once again outperformed all the indigenous banks operating in Pakistan.
The ‘Top 1,000 World Banks’ has been setting the industry benchmark since 1970 by providing comprehensive intelligence about the health and wealth of the individual entities in the banking sector. The Banker is the premier resource for the world’s investment, retail and commercial banking sectors. It is the key source of data and analysis for the industry, providing global financial intelligence since 1926.
The National Bank of Pakistan has also been awarded ‘Deals of the Year‘ (DOTY) Award by The Banker for its Wind Energy Project. Qamar Hussain, President of the National Bank of Pakistan received the DOTY Award by Syed Shahjahan Salahuddin, Country Manager of The Banker at an impressive ceremony.
Interesting to hear this news that at least one government own entity is performing well.
