Law enforcement agencies on Saturday arrested eight more suspects involved in the army camp attack in Wazirabad. According to officials, the police along with intelligence personnel carried out a joint operation in the People’s Colony and Amainabad area of Gujranwala and arrested eight suspects from politico-religious and outlawed outfits. The police said that these fresh arrests were carried out on information gathered through interrogation from those already in custody. They were shifted to an undisclosed place for further investigation of the Gujrat attack incident. The operation was launched in areas surrounding the Chenab, following a terrorist attack on an army camp at the river bank. Sources said that the country’s premier intelligence and other agencies were actively working on the case and the role of local police had been marginalised.
