Strong monsoon currents have started to make rounds in the upper parts of the country that may cause heavy falls and flash/urban flooding in isolated areas of Rawalpindi, Gujranwala and Lahore division. Strong winds coupled with stormy showers on Friday, proved disastrous as a woman was killed in Toba Tek Singh and several other people were injured, with myriad incidents of collapsed walls, rooftops and billboards reported in different areas of northern and central Punjab. The storm was so fierce that it uprooted trees and pylons, swept away sign boards and rooftops and damaged crops in several areas.
