A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces showed that 33% believe that there is a threat of flood due to monsoon downpours.
These findings were part of a poll conducted by Gallup Pakistan. According to the results, 33% believe that there is a threat of flood whereas 46% believe there is no fear. However, 21% did not give a view.
The data further revealed that the fears are considerably lower than a year ago when 52% were fearful of floods. It is pertinent to mention that Pakistan suffered massive floods two years ago in 2010.
