Airbus says Chinese leasing group commits to buy 36 A320s

European planemaker Airbus announced on Wednesday that China Aircraft Leasing Company had committed to buy 36 of its A320 single-aisle planes together worth $3.1 billion (2.5 billion euros).
“China Aircraft Leasing Company (CALC), the fast growing Hong Kong based aircraft leasing company has signed a Memorandum of Understanding at the 2012 Farnborough International Airshow for 36 current generation A320 family aircraft,” Airbus announced at the event near London.
