A Lahore court on Monday sent to jail four young doctors accused of the murder of a minor patient on a 14-day-long judicial remand.
According to a private TV channel, the doctors at the Mayo Hospital have been accused of pulling a drip tube needle out from a vein of 15-month-old Fahad Husain which resulted in his death.
Police had registered the FIR against eight doctors on the complaint of the victim’s father under section 302 of PPC.
During Monday’s hearing, the magistrate Naqeeb Shahzad sent the concerned doctors — Matloob, Usman, Tajammul, and Adil — to jail on a 14-day-long judicial remand.
A large number of young doctors gathered on the court premises in support of their arrested colleagues.
What is becoming of this country… the doctors have themselves gone mad.
