At least 14 people were killed and several others injured in a landmine blast in a remote area of Chaman near the Pak-Afghan border, officials said on Sunday. According to Levies officials, the blast occurred in Toba Achakzai area near the border. Media reports said a passenger bus had hit by landmine planted by unidentified miscreants, which resulted in the killing of 14 passengers. Three women and two children were among those killed. “Seven people injured in the attack have been shifted to Chaman Hospital,” the sources added. Chaman deputy commissioner said the blast occurred in Shandrai area across the border in Afghanistan and confirmed that 14 people had been killed. He said it was a border area, therefore, the injured had been shifted to Chaman Hospital as Kandhar was far away from the place of the incident.
