Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has directed the authorities concerned to take strict action against the housing societies not providing facilities pledged in the agreements.
He was talking to a delegation comprising office bearers of representative organisations and residents of various housing societies at Minar-e-Pakistan tent office here on Saturday.
The delegation apprised Shahbaz about the sufferings of residents of different private housing societies due to absence of basic facilities and poor security arrangements.
The CM ordered the provincial housing authority for taking action against the owners of the housing societies not facilitating the residents with basic facilities.
He also urged for installing security cameras in collaboration with residential societies and colonies to ensure fool proof security for the residents.
Shahbaz also directed the police and assistance forces to spare no efforts in giving protection to public lives and properties besides controlling the crime rate.
