LAHORE – Federal Minister for Sports Mir Ijaz Jakhrani said that the government is taking measures to promote the sports standard in the country on a priority basis. He said this during the meeting with the newly elected office bearers of the Rawalpindi-Islamabad Sports Journalists Association (RISJA).
The minister said that the media has a very important role in promoting sports in the country. He said that Pakistan can win back its lost glory in the world of sports through hard work, dedication and professional excellence. He also assured his full support for the welfare of sports journalists’ community.
