Pakistan on Tuesday asked India to share evidence and information regarding Abu Jundal, the 26/11 handler arrested by Saudi Arabia and deported to India.
Visiting Pakistani Foreign Secretary Jalil Abbas Jilani said his government had requested New Delhi to share evidence on Abu Jundal.
Jundal has admitted being involved in the 26/11 attacks conspiracy.
The foreign secretary further said his government would extend to India every possible help in its fight against terrorism. Pakistani authorities had on Monday claimed that 40 Indian nationals were also involved in the Mumbai attacks. “Our information is that there were at least 40 Indian nationals who helped the attackers. We want India to come clean on this,” an unnamed official of Pakistan’s Foreign Office was quoted as saying.
The official further claimed Indian authorities had “always been reluctant to give us the full picture” of the investigation into the Mumbai attacks. “When a Pakistani judicial commission visited India to collect evidence, it was stopped from cross-examining the witnesses,” he claimed.
Pakistan could take “decisive action” if it is provided details of the investigation, the official claimed. “We cannot act on hearsay,” he said.
Indian officials have maintained that an agreement finalised between Delhi and Islamabad before the commission’s visit made it very clear that the panel would not be allowed to cross-examine witnesses.
Earlier, Foreign Secretary Jalil Abbas Jilani arrived in New Delhi to hold talks with his Indian counterpart Ranjan Mathai on various bilateral issues including visa, trade, disputes on Siachin, Sir Creek, Kashmir, and others.
Talking to reporters, Jilani said Pakistan wanted peace with all its neighbors especially with India and wanted to resolve every dispute with New Delhi which would benefit people of both countries.
About the much hyped case of Indian prisoner on death row in Pakistan, Sarabjit Singh, he said the issue had already been taken at the level of home ministers of two countries who were looking into it.
The foreign secretaries of India and Pakistan will meet today (Wednesday) to discuss various outstanding issues. The two diplomats are also likely to finalise a date for External Affairs Minister SM Krishna’s visit to Islamabad to review the progress in the dialogue process with his Pakistani counterpart Hina Rabbani Khar.

  1. This is the funniest news I have heard in a long time. Pakistan cannot defend itself against terrorists and yet they offer their help to another country. What kind of morons do we have running the country?

  2. No thanks, Pl investigate on your side of the border, We dont need any help inside India., We dont want to lose 30000 people not even one. We have lost enough because of Pakistan's games

  3. F*** India … pehly apna ap to thek kr lo

apni army ko kuch log a k utha ly jaty hain or ja k sur kat k video bna daety hain tub ap kuch nai krty … Or chaly hain india ki help krny

  4. Pakistan has lost its credibility as far as evidence related to Mumbai 26/11 is concerned.
India should not share any sort of evidence with Pakistan on Abu Jundal. Pakistan surely will destroy the linking evidence existing in Pakistan as it did in case of Ajmal Kasab.
World over, it is well known, how pakistan has helped India during last 4 years in this case. Not investigated further for evidence in Pakistan, not given voice samples of persons sitting in Karach control room, not produced in the court the evidence provided by India. Evidence recognised as evidence internationally is branded as ‘Literature’ by Pakistan. NOW, how will pakistan help further, should be made clear by Jalil Jilani?

  5. My honest request to Indians, do not trust Pakistan. Promises and pledges have no weight here in Pakistan. Pakistan is US ally in GWOT but at the same time harboring, supporting and arming militants to sabotage the international community efforts to stabilize Afghanistan. If you(Indians) are sincere with your country; do not trust Pakistan. Have u read the urdu proverb (baghal me chori mo me ram ram). If u try to come closer and trust Pakistan, surely, u will be stabbed.

  6. .
So, the consensus, so far, is Pakistan should really help itself. Others don't care …
