Most of the PML-Q leaders have decided to leave the party, as the differences have intensified between them and the Chaudhry brothers.
The leaders of the PML-Q have allegedly said that three persons, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, Chaudhry Pervez Elahi and Mushahid Hussain Syed had formed a cartel inside the party and were ignoring all workers and leaders, including parliamentarians, in the decision making process within the party.
President of PML-Q Lawyers Wing, Justice (r) Azam Khan, has sped up efforts to join the PML-N or PTI.
Most of the leaders are fed up with the rude behavior of the Chaudhry brothers and Mushahid Hussain Syed.
They said the gang of three had made the party their personal property.
“The suggestions of Mushahid have left the party in the middle of nowhere and it cannot even contest election,” they said.
The sources revealed that several leaders would leave the party before general elections and would take part in the polls as independent candidates. In case they win the election, they would join the PML-N.
The agitated leaders have shown resentment over the alliance with the PPP and said it was the personal decision of the “troika” and they were never consulted or taken into confidence over it.
They said that whenever Chaudhry brothers took such important decisions, they called a meeting of their personal servants.
Azam Khan confirmed the rumors and said the Chaudhrys and Mushahid had ruined the party and made alliance with the ruling PPP for their personal gains.
