Information Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira on Sunday blamed the Punjab government for instigating the masses through pamphlets to hold violent protests. Addressing a press conference, he said the so-called leaders of Punjab were trying to become Zulfikar Bhutto, adding that to become Bhutto, “one needs to give sacrifices which the so-called PML-N leadership cannot do”. “They have noting to do except politicising the issue of load shedding in the country,” he said. Kaira claimed that the PML-N through its MNAs, MPAs and by using the state machinery “is trying to create chaos”, adding that Shahbaz Sharif was responsible for damaging public and private property during the protests against power outage. Kaira said the PPP always honoured and respected the courts, adding, “We do not want confrontation among the institutions and we are ready for accountability.”
