Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif vowed to hold the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) government accountable; for looting the public exchequer and transferring the public money to Swiss banks.
Addressing a large gathering in Qila Didar Singh, Sharif said that Ali Baba and his gang of thieves’ have stolen the public money and due to their corruption, every institution of the country was deteriorating. He added that the government was least concerned with the problems of the masses and was busy in bagging huge commissions. Sharif argued that corruption was rampant in the NICL and Haj scandal along with the deterioration of government-owned departments like Pakistan International Airlines and Pakistan Railways.
Sharif said that the plight of the common man is worsening with each passing day while the PPP government is oblivious to the hardship of the masses.
He added that when elected to the federal government, his party would eliminate the electricity crisis within six months. Sharif further articulated that given the public mandate, his political party would reduce the burden currently faced by Pakistanis.

All in a day’s work for CM

Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shahbaz Sharif listened to several citizens’ complaints at his tent office at Minar-e-Pakistan on Friday and issued on-the-spot orders to address the concerns immediately. Member of National Assembly (MNA) Pervaiz Malik and senior police officials were also present. The chief minister assured an aggrieved family from Sialkot, whose daughter was abducted and raped, that they would be provided justice and strict action would be taken against those who perpetrated this crime. A widow told him that she worked as a domestic servant to provide food to her children. She said that her son was killed last year but the culprits had not yet been arrested. The CM ordered the police officers present to arrest the culprits within a week and take necessary legal action against them.
